The Self-Hosting Manual is aimed at small groups and collectives in the cultural sector to get into self-hosting their own digital infrastructure. Inspired by squatting manuals, it aims to politicize self-hosting as a practice, prepares readers for what to expect, and gives them technical guidance for setting up their own server. Available as a website and in print.
The manual was commissioned by Waag and published on occasion of the [[Digital Shadows|Digital Shadows]] exhibition. It was written with support of Paul Bille and Ada Reinthal, and designed in collaboration with Paul. At least in theory it's a work in progress.

The physical version was printed by no kiss? in Amsterdam. Digital version available at how-to.computer
